South Philadelphia’s Italian Market has been around since the late 1800s. Recently it has become the center of the “Buy Local” movement that has been sweeping the city. It was famously featured in “Rocky” and episodes of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”. ON LOCATION will spotlight the shops and vendors featured in “Rocky” and speak with the locals who were actually there on that cold winter day as the Italian Stallion ran through the produce stands and steel barrel fires.
The Lansdowne Theater in Lansdowne, PA.
This old fashion movie house opened in 1927 and played first run movies for 60 years before closing. Recently the film “Silver Linings Playbook” filmed there (directly under the marquee). The added exposure of that film has put renovations on the fast track and now the theater throws fundraising concerts several times a year!

The Theater will be featured in the pilot episode of ON LOCATION: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/378741508/on-location-0

Promotional video I directed, shot and edited for Philly based hardcore band/extreme wrestling outfit EAT THE TURNBUCKLE (with the help of Kevin Gallagher and Woodshop Films). They kicked off “El Lucha-Tour” a few days ago and will hit LA, Vegas and New Orleans before coming back east to Middletown, NY to battle ECW original Balls Mahoney. The band is a mixture of extreme music and ultra-violent wrestling. Check out the video and then check them out on tour.
I had a blast making this. The same camera I shoot all of the still images on this tumblr was used to make this promo (Nikon D3100) along with a Canon T3i..
